Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Hook IQ mobile application (the "App") operated by Hook IQ ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. By using the App, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information at registration and to keep it current. You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Hook IQ Premium is offered as an auto-renewing in-app subscription sold through Apple App Store and Google Play. The following terms apply to all subscription plans:

• Plans. We offer a Monthly plan (currently $4.99/month) and an Annual plan (currently $39.99/year). Prices are displayed in the App and may vary by region.
• Free Trial. Eligible new subscribers receive a 3-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial. You will not be charged during the trial period.
• Trial Conversion. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription automatically begins and your payment method is charged the then-current price for your selected plan.
• Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annually) unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
• Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account. We never receive or store your card details — billing is handled entirely by Apple and Google.
• Cancellation. You can cancel your subscription anytime from your Apple ID or Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period. No partial refunds are issued for the current period.
• Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple and Google according to their own policies. We do not issue refunds directly.
• Price Changes. We may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers are notified before any price increase takes effect, and the new price applies at the next renewal unless you cancel beforehand.
• Restore Purchases. You can restore prior purchases from the Subscription screen to regain access on a new or reinstalled device.

5. Premium Features

A Premium subscription unlocks features such as Strike Score, bait and lure recommendations, lure color guidance, fishing depth guidance, peak bite windows, and live weather and water conditions. We may add, change, or remove Premium features at any time without notice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code or data.
• Share, resell, or transfer your account or subscription to another person.
• Bypass or circumvent paywalls, entitlements, or feature restrictions.
• Interfere with the App's servers, APIs, or infrastructure.

7. Forecasts & Recommendations

Fishing forecasts, Strike Scores, lure recommendations, and environmental data are generated using AI models and publicly available information. They are provided for general guidance only and are not a guarantee of fishing success. You are solely responsible for your safety, for complying with local fishing regulations and licensing requirements, and for exercising judgment on the water. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of any forecast.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, its branding, content, and software are owned by Hook IQ and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.

9. Third-Party Links

The App may include links to third-party retailers (such as Bass Pro Shops) for recommended products. We are not responsible for the content, pricing, availability, or practices of third-party sites. Any purchase you make from a third party is governed by their terms.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hook IQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or any loss of data, profits, or fishing opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Hook IQ operates, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
